Scoring Explained, Dragon Tiger
Everything on scoring explained for dragon tiger in one place, timings, requirements and what to check first.
What is Scoring Explained?
In Dragon Tiger, scoring reduces to one rule: the side dealt the higher card wins. One card lands on Dragon, one on Tiger, and the higher rank settles the round, no hand totals, no running counts. Card values run Ace (lowest, ranked 1) through 2 to 10 at face value, then Jack (11), Queen (12), and King (highest, ranked 13). Suits carry no weight on the main bet; a 7and a 7are identical for scoring purposes.
When both cards share the same rank, say Dragon shows a 9 and Tiger also shows a 9, the result is a Tie. Main Dragon and Tiger bets pay 1:1 (even money) on a win. A correctly called Tie pays 8:1 on most Indian live-dealer tables, and some premium tables raise that to 11:1. One half-push rule applies widely: if a Tie falls and you held a Dragon or Tiger bet, many platforms return 50% of your stake rather than taking the full amount, confirm this in the table info panel before each session.

The Ace-low rule is the single scoring detail that catches new players off guard. Unlike Poker or Teen Patti where Ace ranks highest, in Dragon Tiger an Ace loses to a 2. If Dragon shows Aand Tiger shows 2, Tiger wins outright. Burn this into memory before your first live round.
Scoring Explained Tips and FAQs
Because only 13 distinct ranks exist and each round is independent, tracking how many Kings or Aces have appeared from the shoe gives a marginal read on remaining high-card density. Most Indian live-dealer lobbies, accessible via UPI wallets like PhonePe, GPay, and BHIM, display a road map bead panel showing the last 20 to 40 results. Use this panel to note whether Tie results are clustering, which can signal a fresh shuffle is due.

FAQ, Does card colour (Red vs Black) affect the score? No. Only numeric rank decides the winner on the main bet. Colour only matters on optional Red/Black side bets offered at select tables. FAQ, What happens if the dealer draws past the cut card? The round completes normally and scoring does not change; the shoe is reshuffled before the next deal. Your in-progress bet is settled on the cards already drawn.
Scoring Explained on Mobile
Playing Dragon Tiger through a mobile browser or app on Android or iOS presents the full scoring interface in a condensed layout. The two dealt cards appear centre-screen with their ranks clearly labelled; the winning side is highlighted in gold within one second of the deal. No mental arithmetic is needed, the platform resolves the comparison instantly and credits winnings to your UPI-linked wallet automatically.

On smaller screens, tap the ⓘ icon beside the table name to pull up a quick-reference scoring sheet showing rank order and current payout ratios without leaving the game. If you are on a slow 4G connection in a metro area like Mumbai or Bengaluru, the result animation may lag by one or two seconds, the official outcome shown in the result banner is always authoritative, not the animation timing.
